Short leases
Three years in total, one extension, a frozen rent.
- A short lease lasts at most three years, extension included. It can only be extended once.
- The lease states the last rent applied to the dwelling.
- Across successive short leases, the base rent cannot rise for nine years, except indexation or a revision in some cases.
- Without valid notice at the end, or if the tenant stays on, it can become a nine-year lease.
