What you may ask before the visit, after the visit and after selection.

• Before the visit: the name and one means of contact, nothing else.
• After the visit: the amount or an estimate of income, never its source.
• After selection: what is needed to conclude the lease (identity, civil status, capacity).
• Requiring an income of three times the rent and fixed charges was held proportionate by the Conseil d’État (30 March 2026).
