The annual charges statement
What the lease must say and what to send every year.
- The lease lists, exhaustively, the charges the tenant bears.
- On each anniversary of the lease, the landlord draws up a separate statement of the previous year’s charges.
- With provisions, the statement compares the amounts paid with the real costs; with a lump sum, there is no settlement.
- The statement is sent within 12 months of the anniversary, with the supporting documents. Reminder and collection fees cannot be charged.
What Autopilot does for you: Reminds you of the statement on every anniversary and prepares the document to send.
