PEB: what changes by 2033

Minimum 275 kWh/m² a year, and the effect on indexation.

• By 2033, every Brussels dwelling must use at most 275 kWh/m² a year: today, classes F and G do not pass.
• A valid PEB certificate, given to the tenant, is a condition for indexation. It is valid for ten years.
• For leases from before 14 October 2022, a PEB E, F or G reduces indexation at every anniversary, as long as the PEB does not improve.
